„BITT SCADA 2008“ is a software package for an early radiation monitoring control center. The abbreviation “SCADA” (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) explains its features briefly in summary very well. “BITT SCADA 2008” acquires data from measuring stations and provides visualization as well as the control of the stations is possible. Data can be acquired from any measuring station developed by BITT technology. These mainly are: RSDL (DataLogger for gamma probe), autonomous solar station, “Aerosol Measuring Station” (AMS) in version AMS02 and AMS03, as well as the new developed “Universal Radiation Monitor” (URM). For information about these products please have a look at the specific product folders. The acquired data is stored in a SQL database and visualized through a web server. For specific purpose the “BITT SCADA 2008” can also provide the collected data through a FTP server and the customer can run queries directly from the database if necessary. Every Browser can act as a client. The web page is optimized for MS Internet Explorer 6 but also tested with Firefox 1.5, Netscape 7.1 and Opera 8.51. Modular structure, so the system is easily upgradeable and adaptable
The acquired data is stored in a SQL database. By default this is a MySQL database which has a good price to performance ratio. If necessary the database can be changed due to the customer requirements. By default “BITT SCADA 2008” runs on a MS Windows based system and uses IIS (Internet Information Server). The webserver can be changed to Apache if required. Modules for acquiring data from other measuring stations (non BITT stations) can be added due to customer requirements, if a detailed documentation about communication and protocols of this type of station is available. |
